Bald Predictions is a free weekly American football pick’em game. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, and what you can do about it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Used to sign you in and to contact you about your account. If you sign in with an emailed code, we send a six-digit code to that address. If you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us the email address on your Apple account, or a private relay address if you choose to hide it. If you choose to set a password, it is stored by our authentication provider in hashed form; we never see it.
If you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us the name on your Apple account the first time you authorise the app, and we store it with your account. It is not shown to other players.
The name you choose. The name you choose is visible to other players in the leaderboard.
The picks you make each week, which pick you designated as your Lock, the scores calculated from them, and a record of which weekly wraps you have already seen.
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used - which screens are opened, which actions are taken, and basic device and app-version information. Before you sign in, these events are tied to a random identifier for your installation of the app. Once you sign in, they are also tied to your account identifier. Neither identifier contains your email address or your username. The app is built so that analytics events carry counts and categories only: your email, your username and the contents of your picks are never sent to PostHog.
We use Sentry to find out when the app breaks, and to measure how it performs. A report can include your device model, operating system version, app version, an identifier for your installation of the app, and the technical details of the error. We do not attach your email address or account details to these reports, and the app never records your screen.
Like any internet service, the providers listed further down this page receive the technical information needed to deliver the app, which can include your IP address, device and operating system details, and timestamps of requests. We do not use this to build a profile of you.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, your phone number or your date of birth. The app has no advertising and no tracking across other apps or websites.
Where applicable, we rely on performance of our agreement with you for account and gameplay processing, and on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, troubleshooting and improving the app for analytics and error reporting. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us. If a particular law requires consent for a processing activity, we will seek consent as required by that law.
Supabase, PostHog, Sentry and Mailjet process data on our instructions, under their own terms and privacy policies. Apple is not our processor: it distributes the app, and where you use Continue with Apple it acts on its own account, handling its relationship with you under Apple’s privacy policy. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where required by applicable law, international transfers are supported by the providers’ contractual safeguards and other appropriate measures described in their terms, privacy policies and data-processing materials.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, your picks and your sign-in details are removed from the app immediately and permanently, and cannot be restored by us.
Deleting your account does not instantly erase every copy everywhere. Backups, server logs, email delivery records, and analytics or crash events already collected can persist for a limited period with the providers named above before they age out on those providers’ own schedules. Analytics and diagnostic records are not linked to your email address or the name you chose, though they may still carry a pseudonymous account or installation identifier. Some other records, such as email delivery records, do still contain the address they were sent to.
Error and performance reports are kept for 30 days. Database and API logs for 1 day. Analytics events and email delivery records are kept for as long as the relevant provider’s own policy specifies; we do not set a custom deletion period for them.
Settings → Delete account, inside the app. This is permanent and immediate.
You can change your email address, username and password from Settings at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, object to certain processing, or complain to a data protection regulator. Email legal@baldpredictions.com or support@baldpredictions.com and we will respond within the applicable legal timeframe.
The app is rated 13+ and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email legal@baldpredictions.com and we will remove it.
Our providers store and process data on servers that may be outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area, in the locations set out in their own terms and privacy policies.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be described at the top of the page for a period after they take effect.
